The Australian Garden Council is pleased to announce a new Memorandum of Understanding with The Garden Society of Japan. Signing will take place at the Australian Embassy in Tokyo, on April 25, 2023.
This Memorandum of Understanding brings together both the venerable gardening culture in Japan, thousands of years old, with the young, growing gardening community in Australia blended with a 50,000-year-old living culture.
Together, this historic union will lead to increased garden participation, exchange of information, and in time, to avail opportunities for horticultural and garden graduate scholars, as well as young, qualified personnel between the two countries to increase knowledge transfer and elevate skills of all participants.
It is with pleasure that signing will take place at the Australian Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. Present to sign will be Australian Garden Council Chair Graham Ross AM VMM, and founding director John Mason. Signing from the Garden Society of Japan will be Yasuo Takahashi, Chairman, and Masao Sone, Chair and International Activity Committee member.
