South Australian director Trevor Nottle has taken home the 2022 Gold Laurel award at this year's Horticultural Media Association Australia (HMAA) awards.
HMAA is the national body representing gardening media in Australia. It covers journalists, writers, authors, bloggers, radio broadcasters and TV presenters. In addition, the association recognises excellence with an award presentation held every second year. In the alternate year, awards are made for photography.
The awards took place at the Queensland Garden Expo, Nambour Showgrounds. After many a disruption over the previous years expo's, events and award evenings, the event weekend buzzed with energy, and this year's awards were simply the cherry on top.
The awards themselves celebrate the best of the best in gardening and horticultural media, and those at the top of the game took home the awards; Millie Ross, Daniel Austin, Phil Dudman, Kate Wall and of course, our very own Trevor Nottle.
The Gold Laurel recognises years of exceptional work and is the top honour award made to its members for work within horticultural media.
A big congratulations from us all, Trevor!
