The AGC will provide assistance and guidance to establish any courses necessary to improve formal educational and training programs. New programs are seen as crucial to increase the numbers of apprenticeships and traineeships in gardening, ornamental horticulture and environmental studies.
The Australian Garden Council is committed to working with tertiary educational institutions and horticultural industry groups to improve the standards of training in these fields.
The Australian Garden Council will help educate the community on matters relating to the environment, gardening and ornamental horticulture by establishing new, or supporting existing, programs.
